Why install solar panels?

Solar panels take advantage of the natural energy from the Sun and turn it into free electricity you can use.

Through the government's Feed in Tariff scheme, you also get paid by the energy companies for every unit of electricity your solar panels generate - whether you use it or not!

This site helps you to find a solar panel installer near you by following a simple 3-step process.

It's as easy as ABC!

Solar panels are an easy way to take advantage of the natural energy source that shines down on your home every day.

Even in the UK's cloudy climate, solar panels effectively convert daylight into electricity that you can use yourself, or sell at a profit.

They simultaneously deliver a reduction on your energy bill and a guaranteed income through a government incentive scheme known as Feed In Tariffs. A solar panel installation can also increase the value of your home.

Solar power is clean and environmentally friendly, converting a natural resource into usable electricity. Not only do you save money, you can also help save the planet.

In 2010, the government introduced a scheme called Feed In Tariffs, which compels energy companies to pay you for any electricity produced by your solar panels — whether you use that electricity or not!

The income is tax-free and lasts for 25 years.

But from April 2012 there will be additional requirements of energy efficiency that your property must meet to qualify for Feed In Tariffs. So don't delay, contact us now to find out more about installing solar panels on your home.

During daylight hours, solar energy from the sun shining onto the roof of your house is captured by the solar panels.

Each panel contains photo-voltaic (PV) cells, which convert this energy into usable electricity.

This electricity can be used to power any electrical devices in your home — for example, dishwashers, washing machines, ovens, computers and televisions. At night, or when the solar panels are not generating sufficient energy, the supply is topped up using your regular electricity provider. This all happens automatically — the only difference you will notice in your electricity supply after installing solar panels is the reduction in your energy bill!

If the solar panels generate more electricity than you are able to use, the surplus is simply fed back into the National Grid.
